DERBY REPORTAGE

"Good Morning. Whaat? Oh yeah, Yes I lie, I didn't go to sleep, don't get all butt hurt about it hahaha JUST KIDDING PEOPLE. Why do I do this to my self? That's a good question, Well this is to teach myself a lesson. And that is to do my  work when it is first given to me and not wait weeks later to begin it and then not turn it in. yeah, yeah, yeah, I'm very Irresponsible I get It. Anyways were getting off topic here so lets go back to the article".

"Oh yeah, hold on. Miguel if your reading this a couple of days, weeks, or years, or hours from now, I HOPE YOU LEARN YOUR LESSON YOU IRRESPONSIBLE FOOL. Alright lets move on now".

"Sooo anyways, I read the The Kentucky Derby is Decadent and Depraved article and first of all, I would like to say that I found a new hero. oh yeah, so long Dragonball Z. If you do not know what that is then I believe you had no youth my fellow ladies and gentleman's. So moving on, Thompson notice things I wouldn't have notice like a secret spy. Unlike Thompson, I'll be the guy screaming, RUN YOU (CURSE LANGUAGE) HORSE, BUNNY HOP THAT (BEEP), Hahaha anyways I wonder if this guy was the real 007, nooo that's just wishful thinking. So anyways, Hunter S. Thompson spits truth, yeah that's right, I said it. This dude Straight up Homies".

"Sooo, Thompson is accompanied by Ralph Steadman to do a report on the horse race, but (there's always a but right hahaha) from their perspective, they cannot view the race. Then Thompson and Steadman begin to notice the real news which was surrounding them".

"From the biggest to the smallest thing, they would notice it in the infield, the grandstand, and even in Thompson's hometown. Some things that they notice were like the drunk commentators and bizarre sexual activities, There's more. You want to know, read the article and find out hehehehe".

"This Event that Thompson wrote about and that Steadman sketch out sounded more like a out of control teenage party party in our present. It might be worse or the same, but it's my opinion. OK, now, before you start a tantrum, the word you should pay attention is to OPINION. Which basically means I could possibly be right or dead wrong. Moving on, during Thompson and Steadman work they got into the festivitie . The really got messed up, which makes me a bit jealous. In the end they notice that they became the characters they were describing in their article. Ok you know what? if you know someone who owns a time machine call me ASAP, I really need to go this party if you know what I mean hehehe (Wink)".

"Some lessons that were confirm to me were that society is Fudge up, no matter how perfect we think we are, we are animals. So, SO UNLEASH THE BEAST hahaha, Also, society will influence you and you will not, I repeat, you will not even notice until your part of it, yeah, check out I'll prove my point. I don't like to sagg my pants but I am not against it because I don't take part of it. Now, did you know that sagging originated in prison because inmates were not trusted with belts( Prisoners used to use their belts to hang other inmates or choke them to death). Here's the really messed up part, If you sagg your pants, it is because you are another inmate's female dog. That means they rape you whenever they want. That fashion eventually was realease to society and check it out,NOW CHECK IT, EVERYONE IS DOING IT. ITS CONSIDER A FASHION NOW. Don't forget it's my opinion and the opinion of those who actually been to prison."

"JOHNNY CYBERPUNK"

"This story is very interesting. I enjoy reading stories like this because it is basically a piece of reality in an imagination running wild".

Summery
To begin with this story occurs in the distant future. The main character is Johnny and he was hire by the Yakuza to store an important information on his head. He figures out that his life is in danger so he arranges an appointment Ralfi  who was sent to retrieve the information. His cover is blown immediately and during the meeting he meets Molly Millions who he hires, and then she saves his neck. Yakuza blows up Ralfi and Johnny get save by distraction. Johnny and Molly then go and see Dolphin who is a junky.  They seek him out to help them figure out the information . Then they go into hiding at Lo-Tek. They go to the killing floor where they are attacked again and molly saves the day.Johnny describes that he doesn't know if Yakuza accepted their terms or not and what he did to the piece of information. In the end Johnny, Molly, and Dog become business partners.

1. First, this story contains a lot Cyberpunk genre in it. For Example, Molly has glasses that are surgically implanted to her face and that the way she dresses is weird. Ralfi is like a robot and he is an asassin. Johnny can have information store into his head with out knowing what it is and it could be retrieve. Dolphin well he is like a mechanical dolphin from the navy. In this world others can hack your systems  because that is how Ralfi die. He gets blown up. There is more but I think I missed them.
2. Second I would like to explain why this story is post-modernism. Post-modernism is a critique of what we assume is truth. Here are some examples from the story. Although the story is taking place in the future with really advance technology, it still repeats the same patterns from the past. For example, there are still organised crimes that exist such as the Yakuza. Drug addicts still exist like Dolphin. People still hide to get away from problems or they try to face it like Johnny. And then, there is my favorite character who portrays one of my favorite quotes "Business is just Business". I apply this quote to my life and I`m very real, In fact I am here handling my business which is just business (which is homework that was due for Dr. Preston yesterday), and then there is this character, "Molly" who handles business which is just business ( which is rejecting Ralfi`s offer and accepting Johnny`s offer, also she didn't know them. they were complete strangers to her). 

"Well, this is my definition why this story is postmodernism and cyberpunk. Feel free to critique me. I welcome positive and negative comments. Why? Because it helps me improve myself. Anyways Good mornig, I'm going to sleep".

MAPLAN

I don't know what to do for my modernist author project yet. The normal thing to do is just fallow the instructions and be boring but Dr. Preston don't like that so I have to let my creativity loose. A song would be good or a poster could be good too.

Joe College

Today's presentation was helpful to me in different ways. It made me realized that I can finish what I started a while back ago. I am not interested in any campuses yet. The college that I will go to is Hancock college because it is a cheap community college. I plan to study mechanical engineering because I like to fix things and tear them apart. My obstacles are to find a way to pay for the college.

1. I am a considerate writer. I have crafted a chillen tales mixed with lush imagery and symbolism.
2. My sense of isolation from my past has helped me write my books.
3. With my own sweat  and blood, as a sea man I gained the life of experience and sensitivity for insight into human condition.
4. I am characterized by strong and turbulent or conflicting emotion. This is like my personality.
5. I am a traveler. I have travel extensively including the USA.
